From what i hear of the actual game environments, you can expect to see maps on the similar sort of vein to the film 'The Day After Tomorrow' with ice fields encroaching in and over cities. With this in mind personally im intrigued as to what the map environments will really look like. Of course with that much ice and snow involved i hope they dont over do the HDR else im going to need to wear my shades to play the game...

Do you think they will also by mkaing the most of the physx cards? They have got to compete with UT27, so they probally will. But that means more patches cause they can't do it right.

ultimatly - it's being done by EA - so that already means patches - just the magnitude that needs to be called into question - gonna start bets - i open with them not getting anything stable until patch 1.2.1

A change from the norm...
So just to make a change from being crushed into the ground by our teammates in tanks, we can be thoroughly stomped into the ground by our teammates in those rather beastly look Mech Walkers =P
The big question is, will BF2142 have the same kind of appeal as BF2 does. A fair few players in the Battlefield community are commenting that they wont play BF2142 because they dont like futuristic games, preferring the gritty realistic envirionments of real weapons etc. Personally im a big fan of teh Battlefield series, and ill be trudging around in 2142 as soon as it comes out, regardless of its futuristic premise. The Mech Walkers really appeal to me as a change from the normal, as well as the opportunities behind the Cloaking shield.
