Really, what is it with these people?

YOU ARE IN A TANK!

If someone shows up with a machine gun, IT WILL NOT HURT YOU!

When confronted with small pets and minor reptiles, THEY CANNOT CAUSE YOU DAMAGE.

Reversing through your infantry support, killing a goodly number of them, is considered bad form. It is detrimental to your sides performance in battle.

And then the idiot driver in question gets all huffy when:

• his 'team mates' take to the skies in helicopters and mercilessly hunt him down
• when his 'team mates' take to the skies in helicopters and help the enemy mercilessly hunt him down
  

We've been testing out joysticks with Battlefield 2 recently, and we at theaubergineroom, definately think they are well worth it especially for flying. After 1/2 hour of warming up, you can pull loop the loops easier than caching a dead chicken. The joystick, whether in a helicopter or fighter plane, improves your flying experience and is well worth it.

So what joysticks would you suggest we get in? I've got a Trust Predator joystick. 4 button, with a throttle control, 8 button HAT and wide base. But do you have a better one? Or know of a better one?

If you play Battlefield 2 you've probably seen the in-game advertisements for the BF2 expansion pack, Euro Forces.

Euro Forces works differently than Special Forces in the way that players can access the pack. The Euro Forces content is tied to a player's online account by which they play BF2.

Here at theaubergineroom we can install the client for Euro Forces on our machines, however, only those players who have purchased it via their online accounts will be able to use the content.

So if you have, or want to purchase the Euro Forces expansion pack, then you can use the extras here at theaubergineroom. The pack costs around £6 and the amount of extra content it provides is well worth such a low price.

Anyone whos played Battlefield 2 has seen the Special Forces expansion pack. The big question is: Why don't we have Special Forces in theaubergineroom?

With Special Forces, EA has changed the way licensing works, which
breaks our Internet cafe software. Until EA resolve the issue
(doubtless with yet *another* BF2 patch) we are sadly unable to
deploy Special Forces in the centre.

When playing Battlefield 2 down here at theaubergineroom, we kept getting killed by what we thought was a cheater. He was UNDER THE MAP at hotel where the actual flag is. But turns out that when grant looked into it more, there is actually a glitch that if you spin around in a tank fast enough and then exit the tank at the right moment, you get flown into the wall, but the game can't keep up, so instead of dying, you end up under it. However, noone likes a cheater!
