Cheap Guild Wars Gold

General discussion

Haha

Haha, I'm going to whore-up your forum (for those of you who have automatically presumed 'naked pictures' - you are mistaken).
I have nothing to do 8 hours a day at work so I figured I'd start swatting up on my computer/games knowledge by reading (and more than occasionally posting) topics on your forum! Yay!!!
Feel free to ignore me. This is simply a selfish act caused by boredom of the deepest kind :P
Muchos love (of the platonic kind)

So, Apparently Wet Roads Are Slippery

As i found out, whilst tragicly slowing for a T-junction, and realsing after having applied the breaks,. 'Oh, I'm not stopping',.. So, carrering Into a VERY HIGH curb at close to 25 miles an hour, head on. = BLOW OUT and the rim of my tire is now crushed and the rubber is completely split. So,. half an hour, a new tyre, and 3 wet arses later. we managed to pull away again.
But i fully blame these stupid new road surfaces, they slip whey too easily. and that causes accidents. Yately Council Suck! Old Crappy Roads Ftw!

Now we've got that out the way,.. Let the mocking ensue...

Conclusive Proof for all you Opera-Lovers...Firefox
is better!

Shows that even extreterrestrials prefer the
browser from Mozilla :D

Sorry JD and Grant, but can you compete with
intelligent life from other planets? You might pass
for smart here on earth, but those alien guys own
your asses =P

Scanning is now available!

We've kept (relatively) quiet about this, because we needed to ensure the software was reliable and easy to use.

But - tada! - we have a scanner available for members to use in the centre. It can scan documents in image mode as well as Optical Character Recognition (OCR), where (as an example) you can scan a page of text into a Word document.

It's connected to PC11 - pop in and try it out. As always, if you've got any questions or queries, you can ask here on the forums, or a member of staff in the centre will be pleased to help.

If you need to scan a lot of documents, please talk to a member of staff about booking the machine - this will ensure you've got access to the scanner when you need it.

Driving Theory Test

Since i recently had a discussion about this i thought id post here about the Driving Theory Test program we have in the centre in the 'Training' menu on our computers. Since, chances are not many of you even know we have it. Basically you can come in and take a mock Theory test in practice for your actual test. You can get similar tests online or on DVD from stores such as WHSmiths. But then, why spend out for a DVD when you can just come into The Aubergine Room and take the test there? Anyway this is jsut a heads up to those who may be thinking about learning to drive or even those or you who have been driving for years.

Welcome

In response to requests from a number of our customers we have created this section of the forums specifically for our non-gaming patrons.

There have been numerous ideas as to what could be discussed in this space (hints & tips, top websites, how to get the best out of IM, Skype, Office, etc.) but so far these are just ideas. What we now need is for you to start using this forum and tell us what you want.

There are plenty of knowledgeable people here at theaubergineroom so don't feel shy about asking any support questions. Perhaps you just want to discuss the latest goings on in the world of entertainment, maybe you have some opinion on the various options for buying music online? Let us know.
