Eye of the North: the Sneak Peek Weekend in review
Submitted by TAR Tom on Tue, 28/08/2007 - 10:17am. eye of the north | Guild Wars | review | sneak peekWell, the Eye of the North preview weekend is over. All in all, I'm pretty impressed - it's a worthy expansion, and was a lot of fun. I'd like to highlight the 'expansion' aspect of it. I came across a lot of characters who weren't level 20, who were complaining about the difficulty.
ArenaNet have always been clear - unlike previous chapters, Eye of the North is an expansion for existing players. There are no new classes, and there's no beginner area to get used to the game and to level up. The moment you step in, *boom*, the action starts.

yahooEye of the North Sneak Peek Weekend
Submitted by TAR Tom on Fri, 24/08/2007 - 9:48am. eye of the north | Guild Wars | sneak peekThe Sneak Peek weekend has begun, and I've returned to the Far Shiverpeaks in Tyria to hang with my dwarf homies and kick some Charr butt ;-)
I've stuck up a post detailing the trip north at http://www.theaubergineroom.com/travelling_to_the_far_shiverpeaks_in_eye...
Keep an eye on the Guild Wars forums, as I'll be sticking some more detailed posts up in there as I discover and explore more of the far north.
If you're playing Guild Wars at all over the weekend, lookup Laurana the Foxy in game.
Cheers,
TOM

yahooWhat I'm playing: Guild Wars
Submitted by TAR Tom on Wed, 22/08/2007 - 10:57am. guild wars | Guild Wars | mmorpgI'm a big Guild Wars fan. The story is good and the graphics are great, but beyond that, the actual game design is excellent.
Unlike most online games, Guild Wars has no monthly fee. You buy the game, enter the key code during setup, and away you go. Check out the Play.com and Game links on our website - you can pick up Guild Wars chapters very cheaply. Or, buy a copy from the centre, and get a free day pass along with it!

yahooGuild Wars: Eye of the North preview this weekend!
Submitted by TAR Tom on Tue, 21/08/2007 - 11:07am. eye of the north | guild wars | Guild Wars | preview | sneak peekJust a quick reminder to everyone that the Eye of the North Sneak Peek weekend starts *this Friday*. It's only £4 from the online store to get the pre-release pack, which is a lot of value when you consider that it gives you 72 hours playtime over the coming Bank Holiday weekend. Remember that all XP, items, skills, missions etc. are kept - you'll be able to get a good jump on everyone else, and keep everything you find as well.

yahooGuild Wars - Eye of the North
Submitted by Nat on Thu, 19/07/2007 - 11:47am. guild wars | Guild WarsHey guys!
I'm not a huge Guild Wars fan (I'm a WoW person myself!)- but I have played it a fair bit - and as you may know there is a new expansion pack coming out on the 31st of August, but looking on www.vgblogger.com it looks like pre ordering it would be a better idea than waiting for it!
