Guild Wars: Eye of the North pre-order pack announced

ArenaNet have accouned the availability of the Guild Wars: Eye of the North pre-order pack. As with previous pre-order bundles, there are a load of goodies included - both physical and in-game items.

Top of the list is access to the special Sneak Peek Weekend, which will run August 24–26, 2007. A major bonus of the Seak Peek Weekend is that all XP, items, Heros and loot will be permanent. Yes, once the weekend is over, everything you will have accomplished and acquired will be saved up until GW:EN goes live - when you get it all back.

This is a great idea by ArenaNet and should really encourage existing players to start up new characters and really play-test the new release. Bear in mind as well that GW:EN provides the bridge into Guild Wars 2, so the more Title Tracks and other achievements that can be gained, the better the start in GW2.

Along with the Sneak Peek Weekend access, there are also three exclusive in-game items you will received - the Glacial Blade, the Hourglass Staff, and the Darksteel Longbow. If you remember the Design-a-Weapon Contest that was held earlier this year - these are the weapons based on the top three winning designs.

You'll also get a Guild Wars Trilogy DVD, which will have client files for all three chapters, along with access keys to allow 10 hours or 14 days play time (whichever is reached first). Clearly there will be exclusive music on the DVD as well, in line with past pre-order packs.

All in all a great bundle for the final chapter in Guild Wars - the Sneak Peek Weekend alone is going to be well worth the pre-order price.
