Internet technologies: training courses
Now the summer holidays are here, people have a lot more free time. There's only so much gaming you can do (unless you're playing EVE :-), so I'm thinking about running a series of courses, covering Internet technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, etc. We'll be covering concepts as well as practical demonstrations. There would be CDs and course notes given out, as well as a 'further reading' list, with maybe some discounted books on offer.
The format I'm thinking of is a 2 hour closed session. Sign-ups and payment would be taken in advance, and there would be four 2 hour sessions over a month (ie. one 2 hour session per week). So you'd sign up for a month at a time.
The only pre-requisite is that you're comfortable using a computer and a web browser.
I'm throwing this poll out here to try and guage the sort of level of interest that there is in this sort of thing.
Let me know what you think by voting in the poll. If there's sufficient interest, I'll put something together.
Cheers,
TOM
