You may sense a recurring theme here. It's not that I think the Playstation platform is a bad one (it's not - apart from the PSP. Having now tried one, they are *utter* rubbish) but the lies, arrogance, and disrespect Sony show their customers is reaching unsustainable proportions.

You give a company hundreds of pounds over the years, investing in their console, their games, their peripherals. You'd think they'd make some sort of effort to give you recurring value? To, you know, keep you as a customer?

Interesting. The BBC are reporting from the Leipzig Games Conference that Sony have held a press conference, and announced a digital TV add-in for the PS3.

According to the article, the PlayTV will plug in to the PS3, and allow you to view and record digital TV programmes, turning the PS3 into a DVR (digital video recorder) - a bit like a Sky+ box.

Saved programmes can then be copied wirelessly or via USB to your PSP or viewed direct on the PS3.

The PSP has always been lame. It's so big you could strap a sail onto it and use it to windsurf. The battery life is laughable poor. UMD is *rubbish*.

In short - there's no good reason to have one, unless a) you're spoilt, b) you're a fanboi.

But now! Sony have trotted out Chewbacca at E3 to announce the launch of not only the new PSP - but the special Star Wars themed one! With the Star Wars Battlefront pack!

Damn them!
