School is almost out, and for a lucky few the long hot summer holidays have already started. Now we can all start to enjoy a long hot summer of gaming love.

It's just like Woodstock, but with better sound effects and less hippies.

This Friday, 21st July, we'll be holding another mini lock-in. The centre doors will close at 7pm sharp, and from then until midnight it'll be gaming and pizza all the way.

Planetside, Counter Strike, Battlefield 2, Command & Conquer - all the usual favourites are lined up. If there's a particular favourite you'd like to be playing, pop in and let us know so we can add it to the night's schedule.

The price is just £15, which includes pizza. As always, our lock-ins are very popular events - make sure you come in and book early with a £5 deposit to avoid disappointment.

Also just a quick reminder that now that summer's here we've changed our opening times.

From 1st July, we will be open from 10am - 9pm EVERY DAY.

Weekday day-passes will now cost the usual holiday price of £15.

The Dragon Festival

The next installation in the Guild Wars saga, Nightfall, has been announced by ArenaNet and their publishers NCSoft. Check out the Guild Wars forum for the full details.

ArenaNet are arranging an open beta weekend from 28th July, allowing existing players to try out Nightfall. Special events and prizes will be available in-game the whole weekend, and there are rumours of some exclusive items which can be run.

theaubergineroom will also be running some special events. As always Steph and the Guild will be leading the way with our regular Guild Wars Sunday sessions.

On Friday 28th July we'll be holding another Guild Wars special lock in. Pizza, pwnage, and Guild Wars fun until late. If you're interested, please pop in to the centre and speak to a member of staff.
