LucasArts used to be the greatest game company in the universe. They created the best graphical adventures - Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, Loom, Sam and Max. They tapped into the rich Star Wars universe and gave us the greatest combat sims ever - the X-Wing series. And then came the Star Wars first person shooters - who can forget the first time they played Dark Forces?
But now! Now, LucasArts have falled to the Dark Side.
Check out this excerpt from a Gamasutra interview from Jim Ward from the once great studio:
We're all over that, and internally we have already played a lightsaber game on the Wii. It's a lot of fun, and we'll get there.

But sadly it's true. LUCASARTS STAFF HAVE BEEN PLAYING LIGHTSABRE GAMES WITH A WII INSTEAD OF FINISHING THE GAME AND LETTING US ALL HAVE A GO!

Seriously - why would you ever stop playing that? For *anything* else?
All it needs is a Powerglove for doing your Force Powers and it would be the pinnacle of gaming! Civilisation would fall afterwards, because mankind would have created their greatest achievement - everything else would be downhill from that.

acutaly playing around with the wii remote is awsome fun we do the Wii sports they can last hours... so yea maby its a good thing they wont relise it as nobody will wanna do anything THE END is coming!
unfortanly a few Tv's have been harmed i read on the web becuse people dont relise what the strap is 4 untill it goes thru there tv - window and face

I agree with you, this is the best possible thing that will ever happen to the wii (And it was pretty damn good already).
But the only thing is I fear they'll mess it up, they have a possiblity to make a game that could go down in history... But can they do it?

The only problem with that I can see is that someone will get overexcited and end up smacking somone in the face nearby. (This is why I try and stay away from the wii - I'm too paranoid about breaking something or someone!)
But the lightsabre idea sounds awesome, x[ I wish they would hurry up and finish it rather than sitting around playing it themselves!!

And come on it's star wars a few lossed limbs are worth it purely for the joy of the game :D
