WoW: Wrath of the Lich King confirmed

WorldOfRaids have gotten the scoop on this - complete with pictures from BlizzCon!

It looks like Wrath of the Lich King will bring:

  • The dark, necromatic Death Knight, the first new character class added to World of Warcraft since its launch
  • Northrend, the harsh, icy continent where the Lich King holds rule, complete with new zones, quests, items and monsters
  • New level cap of 80 providing access to mighty new powers and talents
  • New battlegrounds featuring siege engine warfare and destructible buildings
  • Expanding character customization options including new hairstyles & dances, the ability to change the hairstyles of existing characters, and new skin color variants

Gamespot have much more detailed information from the demo and Q&A session, with lead designer Jeff Kaplan, level designers Cory Stockton and Tom Chilton, and producer Lee Sparks.

All too soon

Yeah I heard about the new expansion coming out today. Probably should have heard about it earlier but mleh.
If you ask me I think its too soon to bring out this new one. Did it have a release date?
Only 6/7 months ago Burning Crusade was released, people are still playing that one, and they're not bored of it yet! May aswell wait a bit longer!! And level 80?!?! Gah... I havn't even made it to 70! Admittedly I've had more of a life doing other things =P
